Trolls: Band Together - Velvet and Veneer

I was very lucky to work on those two main villains of the movie. Character Designer Craig Kellman had this cool idea to make them look like bendable/posable plastic toy figures with retro animation aesthetic. We had a lot of fun making them, exploring many different costumes and hairstyles. At one point, I was worry they may look too simple. When they strike a pose, however, the simplistic design actually accentuates the iconic stance , make them the fraudulent idols they strive to be.
